Full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolate are three terms familiar to the experienced consumers of CBD. And the novice consumers, still get confused as to which of these is ideal. Full Spectrum
Full-spectrum hemp oil means that the product is a total extract. This means it contains the extracts of the plant’s flowers as well as all the cannabinoids. When I say all the cannabinoids, it is understood that the full spectrum means it contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Because of the product containing THC, it could be mistaken as a product is illegal; however, the percentage of THC is less than 0.3%. From the benefits point of view, this is a premium product and so it is believed to contain all the goodness of the hemp plant. The only concern most customers have is the full spectrum being inclusive of THC.
Broad Spectrum
This is a newcomer to the industry and thus it is still in its evolving stage. By broad spectrum we mean, hemp flower extract along with all the goodness of cannabinoids except for THC. Need I say anything about the legality of the broad spectrum? No THC equals fully legal but in those selected states those have legalized marijuana.
Speaking of the benefits this product could offer, it is preferred by those who don’t like the idea of being drugged with the ‘forbidden’ THC. The manufacturing process is costlier than others because it includes complete removal of even the traces of THC. Thus the price of the product when it hits the market is high.
Isolate
As the name suggests, isolate means it contains only one compound. In this case, CBD is isolated at the time when it is extracted from the flower of the plant. It contains no other cannabinoids. It is legal in all those regions which have legalized the use of medical marijuana. CBD oils belonging to this category are ideal for the ones who have problems with THC and cost at the same time.
